David LeBlanc
David is an active member of the Egypt Study Society in Denver [www.egyptstudy.org], and of The Amarna Research Foundation. His interest in Ancient Egypt began with his almost life-long passion for Ancient Coins, particularly those of Sicily, and he is quite expert at their identification and their histories. Appreciating the beauty of these wonderful artistic artifacts is just one step away from loving the beauty of Egyptian art. After a trip to Egypt in 1998, he truly became an “egyptophile” in the truest sense of the word, and has returned there many times to date. As a computer guy, he has been most helpful to members of the ESS and to TARF, both in preparing lectures using Power Point, and in installing and maintaining membership databases. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University, also, with an MBA, but spent his professional life with computers, large and small. He escaped the heat and humidity of New Orleans after a lifetime of mold in 1999, and regards this as the smartest thing he ever did!
