18, 2007 Louisiana Mummy under examination
Louisiana Art & Science Museum’s prized Egyptian mummy is undergoing x-ray and CT-Scan examination in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Gonzales, La. Museum curators will announce the results when the Art & Science Museum’s renovated Egyptian Exhibit reopens on July 27. The mummy tentatively dates from the Ptolemaic Period.

Lousiana. law did not permit the entry of a body without the written permission of the next of kin.
July 13, 2007 Identity of Thutmose I mummy questioned
Reuters has reported that based on CT scans there seems to be reason to believe that at least some of the Royal Mummies have been misidentified. The mummy identified as Thutmose I appears to be that of a much younger man.
"I am now questioning all the mummies," reported Dr Zahi Hawass of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities to Reuters in an interview. "We have to check them all again.

Discovery and examination of the mummy of Hatshepsut has shown that she was fat, bald, suffered from diabetes, had decayed teeth and possible suffered from a skin disease.
